This years event saw eleven Wymondham players take to the mats at Potters Leisure Resort throughout the weekend and saw some very good performances along the way. The triples on the Saturday saw M. Linsdell, D.Phillips and C. Mann achieve maximum points with four wins out of four with wins of 14-5 against Watton, 12-8 against a team from Cambs, 9-4 against last years champions Hevingham and a convincing 17-1 win against a Suffolk triple put them through as 3rd place. Which meant they were only through to the Potters shield in which they comfortably beat Pauline Pamment's Essex based team Sanguine 14-2.

The cash pairs event held on Sunday had four Wymondham pairings which all had good performances. Hayley and Andrew Stratton, newcomers to the event, only managed in the end to loose just one game as a lot of people hailed Hayley's performance throughout the day who is a recent novice to the sport but after Sunday's performance some would say she is certainly not that any more. Debbie and Jack Barrett can find themselve's hard done by as they finished unbeaten winning four and drawing one, which included the scalp of Donna and David Lamb but were out of the running in the money. The giants of the cash pairs, Jon Sparham and Chris Mann, had a somewhat dodgy start but still managed to win all their games and scored maximum points with +34 shots which saw them take 2nd place. Debbie Phillips is another strong player in the pairs and teamed up with Mark Linsdell were a big threat to win the event and so they did winning all their match's with a +42 shots advantage although it was Debbie that got them out of a big hole on the fourth match against the Kightley's from Costessey as they were holding a four to see them go 6-2 up but for a superb wood played from Deb that saw her heavy wood roll through a split for shot which turned the game from there and on that deserved to be winners.

2010

In the Potter's cup on Saturday little success was had with only three wins for Deb, Steve and Chris was not enough to see them in the final.

The cash pairs on Sunday was a lot more successful with the second and third cash prizes collected from Wymondham. Deb and Steve finished third with 8 points and + 31 while Jon and Chris had 8 points and +32. Mark Linsdell also had an unbeaten day but do not have the shot difference required to have a share of the prize money on offer.

Potter's Finalists

(left to right) Chris Mann, Debbie Phillips, Steve Phillips, (Runners-up)

Paul Baker, David Lamb and Jon Sparham. (Winners)

With J. Sparham and C. Mann winning the cash pairs at Potters leisure resort last year it was Steve and Debs turn this year.

2008

C. Mann and J. Sparham won the Cash Pairs at Hopton Holiday resort in September 2008. They had an unbeaten day and had a shot difference of 30+. It's a good job they did because the second placed pairing of Essex were only a few shots behind them having won all there games as well.
